Williamson, WV (PRWeb) January 6, 2007 -- Holy Fire Publishing releases Spiritually Speaking: A Spiritual Walk through the Book of Revelation (Paperback, US$14.99, ISBN# 1-933899-57.3). Rev. Hugh Scott Slone's book, Spiritually Speaking, reveals the spiritual side of Revelation. Slone doesn't pretend to offer all the answers, but tries to provide a spiritual understanding of having a closer walk with God through the book of Revelation. This book invites you to see things through the eyes of the Holy Spirit and to gain a richer understanding of the Word.

Rev. Slone does not try to explain what the book of Revelation means, but to him, it's all about Jesus. For years, he kept away from Revelation, because he feared getting it wrong. He didn't want to lean on his own understanding, but wanted God to teach him. He makes it clear that he is just a servant of the Lord who wants to share what God has taught him.

Spiritually Speaking begins with the first twenty verses in Revelation. Slone then expounds on the verses, explaining that it is the revelation of Jesus Christ, not of St. John the Divine. He goes on to show that when John saw Jesus in His glorified state, John fell at His feet as dead. Slone writes, "Really this is the close of the Bible, the last book of the Bible, and he (John) is showing the spiritual side of it. Because after we pass through death, the next thing we'll enter into is eternity, in a glorified state."

Rev. Slone makes it clear that Christians are commanded to read the Word of God, to hear the Word of God, and keep those things within their hearts. He asserts that unless Christians study the Bible, they will not be able to, in their own strength, keep God's Word, but he acknowledges that the Holy Spirit will help them.

Spiritually Speaking teems with rich images from the book of Revelation, and the Holy Spirit imparts wisdom for those who have eyes to see and ears to hear.

Rev. Hugh Scott Slone is an ordained minister of a Free Will Baptist Church where he assists the pastor and ministers to the needs of the congregation. He lives with his wife,

Angie, and his daughter, Kaylyn, in southwestern West Virginia. He began his walk with God in the summer of 1990 after his mother-in-law shared the gospel of Jesus Christ with him. His desire is that everyone develops a "spiritual" walk with Christ.
