Aware IM™ Now Works With Any Database

Aware IM™ 2.2 allows creating Web applications that work with any database without programming.

Sydney, Australia (PRWeb) January 9, 2007 -- Awaresoft Pty Ltd today announced the release of version 2.2 of Aware IM -- an intuitive and easy-to-use web database development and management software. The new version allows connecting to any existing database (like PostgreSQL, Sybase, Informix, Oracle, etc.), in fact, to any data source that has a JDBC driver to search, read and update data.

Many people need their Aware IM applications to access data in existing databases used by legacy applications. Until now the data exchange between Aware IM and legacy databases had to be done by exporting and importing data files. Aware IM 2.2 eliminates this laborious and time-consuming process. It also helps to avoid unnecessary data duplication in different databases.

As with the natively managed data objects, Aware IM automates handling of data in external databases so that no scripting or programming is required. Aware IM automatically reads the definitions of existing tables, converts them to Aware IM objects and creates data forms. The developer can then add rules and adjust presentation options.
