Columbia Art Center Fundraising Event For Grassroots

Columbia Art Center is sponsoring Empty Bowls, a community event to benefit Grassroots of Howard County, Saturday, February 3, 5:30pm-8pm. Pick and take home a ceramic bowl from 300 handcrafted ceramic works. Enjoy a free dinner, live music and art demonstrations. Columbia, MD (PRWeb) January 11, 2007 -- Columbia Association Art Center is sponsoring Empty Bowls, on Saturday, February 3, 5:30pm-8pm. All proceeds raised will go to Grassroots, Crisis Intervention Center of Howard County, Maryland. Enjoy a fun evening during which you will select from the Columbia Art Center Galleries a handcrafted ceramic bowl to take home with you. Enjoy a free delicious meal, live music, art demonstrations, a silent art auction, and raffle drawings.

This Empty Bowls event is made possible by the time and efforts of local ceramic artists who volunteered their time and creativity to produce more than 300 beautiful handmade bowls. The Art Center donated materials, clay supplies and kiln firings. Local restaurants and businesses have contributed food, beverages, in-kind and monetary donations. Musicians are donating their time and talents to providing music throughout the event event.
