Georgia School Districts Rely On PDExpress To Manage Professional Development

Lucid Data Corporation's professional development management system, PDExpress®, is now supporting professional learning programs in 32 Georgia school districts.

Milford, OH (PRWeb) January 26, 2007 -- Lucid Data Corporation's professional development management system, PDExpress®, is now supporting professional learning programs in 32 Georgia school districts. Districts are using Lucid's Web-based system to manage online workshop registration, professional leave requests, professional learning transcripts, annual professional learning plans, multi-level routing of forms, and certification information.

PDExpress provides Georgia districts with an efficient way to organize teacher professional development and manage Professional Learning Units (PLUs). According to Scarlett Correll, Director of Professional Learning at Valdosta City Schools, "PDExpress allowed us to cut administration time, while centralizing information and giving teachers more control over their own professional learning information and opportunities. We are able to concentrate on the professional learning content that we want our staff to experience and not get bogged down in registration paperwork."

According to John Wills, Lucid's Director of Marketing, "We've been working with school districts in Georgia going on six years and feel we have a strong understanding of their requirements to manage and report on professional learning. We deeply appreciate the relationships we've built with our Georgia customers and can safely say that many product enhancements have been the direct result of their quality feedback. In fact, the results of their input have had a widespread impact, benefiting many of Lucid's customers across the country. Our presence in Georgia continues to expand as districts grow and there is a need to find a more efficient way to manage professional development and reporting."

An additional key benefit experienced by Georgia customers is the ability to easily generate annual professional learning reports required by the Department of Education. What used to take a week or more to create, now only takes an hour or so with PDExpress' robust reporting features. PDExpress offers three easy methods for extracting data and generating reports: 52 embedded standard reports, ad-hoc queries, and an integrated spreadsheet.
