Providence Property & Casualty Insurance Company Appoints New Officers

A leading provider of workers' compensation insurance to the niche PEO industry, Providence Property & Casualty Insurance Company announces the appointment of new officers. Stephen A. Gober has been appointed Vice President, Underwriting. Nicolas A. Arizaga has been appointed Vice President & Controller.

Mr. Stephen (Steve) A. Gober has been appointed Vice President, Underwriting and Mr. Nicolas (Nick) A. Arizaga has been appointed Vice President & Controller.

Mr. Gober joined Providence in July 2003 as Director of Underwriting. In that position, he has helped the company develop a solid block of workers' compensation business in the niche PEO environment. With his guidance, Providence completed 2006 with 100 percent client retention. Utilizing Mr. Gober's practical underwriting philosophy, the client reported payrolls to Providence have increased 160 percent. Mr. Gober earned his BBA degree in finance from Stephen F. Austin State University. He was previously Senior Account Executive with the Hartford's National Accounts Division. Mr. Gober's insurance experience includes over 23 years of underwriting.

In January 2005, Mr. Arizaga accepted the Controller position at Providence. As a CPA with a BBA degree in business and a Master's degree in finance from North Texas State University, Mr. Arizaga has implemented new general ledger systems for Providence, structured premium tax processes, and organized key personnel to facilitate the daily accounting needs of a growing insurance company. Throughout Mr. Arizaga's over 20 year insurance accounting career, he has had a variety of senior level responsibilities including Treasurer for TIG and Chief Financial Officer for the Personal Lines Division of Hallmark Financial Services.
