Orange County Golf Fitness Center Compares Golfers' Swings to the Pros at Esteban Toledo PGA Tour Pro Am

The Orange Body Balance Center, a golf fitness and physical therapy center, provided AthletesVideo technology for golfers to record and compare their golf swing at the Esteban Toledo PGA Tour Pro Am, a local charity event sponsoring the Get A Grip Foundation.

Irvine, CA (PRWeb) February 2, 2007 -- This year's Esteban Toledo PGA Tour Pro Am saw a new side of its old friend, Body Balance for Performance (http://www.orangecounty.fitgolf.com). After three years of providing a professional stretch tent, the Orange County golf fitness center brought in AthletesVideo technology.

With AthletesVideo, golfers had their swing recorded at the 10th tee without interrupting their game, and are now able to view their golf swing (http://www.orangecounty.fitgolf.com) online for a year. Golfers can compare their swing with the golf swing of one-hundred and fifty PGA Tour players, as well as the professionals at the Esteban Toledo PGA Tour Pro Am.

"The golf swing affects every aspect of a golfer's game, from distance and accuracy to how much he's hurting at the end of day," said Stephanie Overbaugh, Director and Golf Fitness Specialist at the Orange County Body Balance (http://www.orangecounty.fitgolf.com). "The AthletesVideo program is a great way to compare your golf swing to a professional golfer's swing, and with the help of your golf instructor or a golf fitness professional, and work on improving your golf swing throughout the year."

Many professional golfers stopped by the professionally staffed golfer stretch tent, including tournament honoree John Cook, Paul Goydos, Craig Barlow, Daniel Chopra, and Kent Jones and John Mallinger.

The Esteban Toledo PGA Tour Pro Am took place at the Hidden Valley Golf Club on January 29. All proceeds went to the Get a Grip Foundation, a local charity that provides free golf instruction (http://www.orangecounty.fitgolf.com) to children ages 7-18, giving them exposure to the fundamentals of the game of golf as well as providing education and life skills tutoring.

Let Body Balance for Performance evaluate how your body determines the way you swing your club. Visit www.orangecounty.fitgolf.com for details and find out where the Orange County Body Balance Center will be taking AthletesVideo next.

About The Orange County Body Balance Center: Body Balance for Performance looks at the golf swing (http://www.orangecounty.fitgolf.com) from a unique angle: The golfer's body. Based on the idea that a body issue contributes to every swing flaw, Body Balance focuses on how a golfer's balance, flexibility, strength and endurance contribute to or limit accurate and consistent performance. Scientific research in the past measured muscle activity during the golf swing, with this knowledge each clinician is able to improve a golfer's consistency, accuracy, distance and reduce pain.
