Photographers Can Easily Create Their Own Books Through Efotolab.com Partnership With Blurb.Com

Efotolab.com (www.efotolab.com), the e-commerce solution and online photographic lab for professional photographers. now makes it easy for professional photographers to compose, publish, print and sell their own books through a new partner service with Blurb.com.

Wilmington, DE (PRWeb) February 5, 2007 -- Professional photographers can now easily compose, publish, print and sell books of their works through a new partner service offered by Efotolab.com, the e-commerce solution and online photographic lab for professional photographers.

"We want to provide photographers as many opportunities as possible to easily market and profit from their work," said Efotolab.com President Joel Plotkin. "A wedding photographer, for example, could offer prints of the event through our online photo lab and then quickly put together a commemorative book and sell that as well to the wedding party and guests."

The ability to create and publish your own books is being made available to Efotolab.com members through an affiliate relationship with Blurb.com. The companies share a similar business philosophy-both have created easy-to-use online sites to bring creative works to market in multiple formats.

The service meets an increasing need among photographers for one-off and short-run book printing and can be used for their own creative works or to meet the requests of customers, Plotkin said.

"This service works particularly well for photographers who are creating books for specific clients," Plotkin said. "Clients can view the book layout and design online in our system. After a client approves the work, the photographer presses one button in the free, MAC- and PC-compatible Blurb Booksmart software and the book is off to the printer. In 7 to 10 days, the book will be delivered."

Like the Efotolab.com system, which enables photographers to set their own prices for photographic print sales, Blurb.com allows members to set their own prices and sell books directly to their customers, Plotkin said.

"Because we focus on bookstore-quality printing, binding and materials, I can imagine many efotolab photographers profiting by selling their commercial-quality books in Blurb's online bookstore. Blurb manages all the ordering, transaction processing and fulfillment, leaving photographers to set their own prices - and keep 100% of the profits," said Eileen Gittins, Founder and CEO of Blurb.

"We are very excited about making this product available to our members," Plotkin said. "We are constantly looking for new ways to help professional photographers develop markets for their work and this agreement with Blurb.com will give photographers the increased exposure they deserve."
