Grace Gawler's 'cancer journey began in 1974 in Melbourne Australia; on the cusp of being launched as the next big modeling discovery, the beautiful young Melbourne equestrian champion and part time veterinary assistant, had a partner - Ian, a young vet, who was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer (osteogenic sarcoma), so aggressive that his leg was amputated eight days after the diagnosis.

The next four years saw Grace search the world to stave off Ian's cancer; in all, Grace and Ian explored over thirty different therapeutic approaches to cancer from 'quacks', to healers, medicos and mystics.
