"Golf Jerk" Offends Hackers, Pros, and Women Pitbull golf coach, The Golf Jerk, developments mentally tough golfers, speeds up the game, while beating up the competition. New York, NY (PRWEB) February 15, 2007 - In the era of the gentleman's sport, golf, there is one who rises up to question the "integrity of the game." Known only as "The Golf Jerk" this man/woman is a loud voice in a quiet sport.
He claims to be able to be able to help a player drop 4-7 strokes without any practice whatsoever. Yet, his controversial techniques appear to have substance.
"When I first visited The Golf Jerk's website (http://www.golf-jerk.com)," says Jerk enthusiast Mark Williams, "I thought this guy had to be kidding. He was insulting and arrogant. But I thought, 'I can't wait to read this guy's reports then let him have it.' It turns out the material really helped me. I didn't like the insults, but couldn't argue with the results."
Insults indeed. It seems the Golf Jerk has it out for everyone. He berates the weak minds of the average golfer. He makes fun of golf psychologists. He even tells women to either stop playing or stop fixing their hair on the course.
So just what is this jerk up to? Well according to him, "I think the game is taken way too seriously. The guy who is nervous over the three foot putt is going to miss it 80% of the time. It doesn't matter if he steps right up or, most likely, surveys it from every angle before missing. Either way he's a loser."
The Golf Jerk, who remains anonymous, simplifies golf by strengthening the mental and management approaches to the game. Those two components, when combined, will drop a handicap faster than lessons or training aids, the Jerk claims.
If that wasn't enough, he also takes a controversial view of the competition. "If your golf buddies are so mentally weak they can't take a few head games, then they deserve to give you their money. Golf is not just a physical game. You have to be able to control your emotions and psyche as well. You need to win on all fronts not just possessing the ability to connect with the ball. You need to be able to handle the pressure. Most can't."
Even his website, http://www.golf-jerk.com, hits golfers with "a tell it like it is" attitude. This isn't your average golf coach. And he's not selling the average solution. In fact, he goes as far as saying that golf training aids are designed to make you a worse golfer.
The Jerk's hard truths make sense even though the way he frames them could be softened a bit. But since he feels the game is already too soft perhaps he will birth a new generation of "mentally tough" golfers who thrive in all aspects of golf.
