David Aquilina, Strategic Storyteller, Wins Bronze Quill Award

The International Association of Business Communicators (IABC-Minnesota) honors Minneapolis-based freelancer with award of excellence for media relations.

Minneapolis, MN (PRWeb) February 23, 2007 -- The International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), Minnesota chapter, has honored David Aquilina, strategic storyteller, with a Bronze Quill Award of Excellence in recognition of his superior achievements in business communications and public relations. He won an Award of Excellence in the Media Relations category.

Aquilina's winning entry was for a media relations campaign he planned and undertook on behalf of Outback Chair Company, Inc. to support the debut of their new Double Lounger, a fashion-forward interpretation of the old-fashioned porch swing, at the Casual Furniture & Accessories Market in September 2006. The campaign helped boost the number of retailers visiting with Outback Chair at the casual furniture industry's most important annual tradeshow by 15 percent.

Aquilina was the only independent communications professional whose work was honored for excellence by IABC-Minnesota, the fourth largest IABC chapter in North America and 2006 Large Chapter of the Year. And 2007 marks the fifth time that IABC has recognized Aquilina's outstanding achievements in public relations, media relations and business writing. He previously won Bronze Quill Awards in 2001, 2002, 2004 and 2005.
