IMAPS and ACerS Sponsoring 3rd International Conference and Exhibition on Ceramic Interconnect and Ceramic Microsystems Technologies (CICMT)

IMAPS (International Microelectronics And Packaging Society) and ACerS (The American Ceramic Society) have once-again joined forces to present the 3rd International Conference and Exhibition on Ceramic Interconnect and Ceramic Microsystems Technologies (CICMT 2007).

Washington, DC (PRWeb) February 20, 2007 -- IMAPS (International Microelectronics And Packaging Society) and ACerS (The American Ceramic Society) have once-again joined forces to present the 3rd International Conference and Exhibition on Ceramic Interconnect and Ceramic Microsystems Technologies (CICMT 2007).

"CICMT 2007 will bring together a diverse set of disciplines to share experiences and promote opportunities to accelerate research, development and application of ceramic interconnect and ceramic microsystems technologies. The conference will feature ceramic technology for both Microsystems and Interconnect applications in a dual track technical program," stated Christian Hoffmann, EPCOS GHG, and Kevin Ewsuk, Sandia National Laboratories, CICMT 2007 Co-Chairs.

The Ceramic Interconnect track will focus on cost effective and reliable high performance ceramic interconnect products for hostile thermal and chemical environments in the automotive, aerospace, defense/security, and communication industries.

The Ceramic Microsystems track will focus on emerging applications and new products that exploit the ability of 3-D ceramic structures to integrate interconnect/packaging with microfluidic, optical, micro-reactor and sensing functions. Low temperature co-fired ceramic (LTCC) multilayer, thick film hybrid, and rapid prototyping technologies are common to both tracks, with emphasis on material, processes, prototype development, advanced design and application opportunities.
