Da Vinci Capers Adds Amalfi to Cultural Immersion Adventures

Travelers can embrace the philosophy of the Renaissance man in either the Amalfi Coast or the hills of Tuscany through a week long cultural immersion adventure, Da Vinci Capers - A Personal Renaissance Journey.

Boulder, CO (PRWeb) February 17, 2007 -- Learn to multitask like Leonardo. Leave your tech toys behind and pick up a paintbrush, camera or spatula. Leonardo da Vinci may have been the original multitasker since his hands and mind continually were occupied by the essence of arts and science.

Travelers can embrace the philosophy of the Renaissance man in either the Amalfi Coast or the hills of Tuscany through a week long cultural immersion adventure, Da Vinci Capers -- A Personal Renaissance Journey.

The newly added Da Vinci Capers in Amalfi is based in Ravello, perched above the Gulf of Salerno in southern Italy. Each day participants discover the rich culture and history of the area. The itinerary includes:

•Painting watercolors in the Cimbrone gardens overlooking the sea

•Music appreciation and evening classical concerts

•Photographing scenes on the island of Capri

•A private guide of the ruins of Pompeii

•Cooking Lessons at Villa Maria

•Learning basic Italian

"Leonardo shows us by example and through his writings, that to have fun learning and to spark our creativity, we must experience it. In order to really experience an activity such as cooking, drawing, learning a language or writing, it is best to have an open mind and not to worry about making mistakes," says Barbara Hardesty, founder of Da Vinci Capers.

Now in its fourth year of operations, the Da Vinci Capers experience has expanded to two locations. The Amalfi adventure is set for September 30 through October 6. The Tuscany trip will be held at the luxury of Villa Michaela, on October 7-13, 2007.
