Internet Gurus Aren't the Only Ones Who Know How to Market Successfully on the 'Net

Savvy Biz Cast, The Blog Squad's new podcast, features interviews with professionals about online successes and challenges with leveraging new technologies and the Internet to build business.

(PRWeb) February 21, 2007 -- The Blog Squad is interviewing smart professionals on how they're leveraging the Internet to get known and grow their business.

Most of the people interviewed are not tech experts, and many of them are new to online tools such as blogs, ecommerce, and ezines. But each has accepted the challenge of learning new ways of attracting clients and making money with cyber tools. They are expanding their reach to global audiences through the power of the Internet.

"I got the idea for Savvy Biz Cast while working with a group of 100 business professionals in our Blogging and Beyond mentor group," said Denise Wakeman of The Blog Squad-tm.

"Most marketing podcasts are interviews with Internet gurus and experts. I wanted to hear from real people who hadn't made it yet, but who are learning new tools and not afraid to jump onto the so-called Web 2.0 bandwagon."

The interviews are ten to fifteen minutes, and professionals describe their business, how they are using the Internet, what is working for them and what is most challenging. Each describes where he or she wants to go with online marketing, and what is necessary to take the business to the next level.

Denise Wakeman is a blogging and Internet marketing expert who has teamed up with Patsi Krakoff, Psy. D., a retired psychologist, to help independent service professionals and small business owners leverage the Internet for marketing.

Their clients are authors, entrepreneurs, consultants, doctors and lawyers. Some are working in education, therapy, coaching, politics, and non-profit organizations. Each one is reaching out across the globe via the Internet to find and create communities of similar mindsets. Because of user-friendly tools such as blogs, social networking sites, podcasts and Internet radio, it is easier than ever to reach and attract others.

These podcasts reflect what Time Magazine heralded in their Person of the Year award last year: average people now have access to a global community.
