IBG Awarded Contract to Support California Department of Motor Vehicles

Providing technical, strategic guidance on implementation of biometric ID system.

New York City, NY (PRWeb) February 22, 2007 -- International Biometric Group (IBG) has been awarded a contract to support the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) in the design, development, and implementation of a biometric ID system. The contact's period of performance runs through September 2008.

IBG is supporting DMV in the following areas:

- Identifying technical biometric requirements for a complete DMV biometric system

- RFP development

- System acceptance testing and pre-award benchmark criteria

- Definition of customer reference minimum standards

- Biometric system verification and validation

- Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) development

Since 2001, IBG has worked with the State of California to address the technical and strategic challenges associated with deployment of fingerprint and face recognition for one of the world's largest biometric ID systems.
