Josh Ryan Announces he is Unsigned and Creating Buzz with his Progressive Pop Sound

Josh Ryan and his self described "Progressive Pop" sound are producing buzz by the boatload. The under-the-radar solo artist is gaining momentum in the industry, and seems to be positioned for a breakout very soon.

Nashville, TN (Billboard Publicity Wire) March 26, 2007 -- Josh Ryan has begun talks with representatives from Universal, RCA, Hollywood, Columbia, ATO, Authentik, and Geffen Records.

The question now...who is going to snag this guy up?

The snow ball of buzz that has begun to roll was sparked when Nathan Walters of the platinum recording pop band, Plus One, joined with Nashville musician/producer/songwriter, Jason Collum, and Josh to co-write and co-produce his debut EP, Not Today.

"I heard what Jason and Josh had already done on some of the tracks,

and I knew it was something special. I had to be involved with it."

- Nathan Walters (of platinum recording pop band Plus One)

Over the past 6 months, Josh Ryan has laid the foundation for success that should excite major labels. His EP Not Today, was distributed by Nashville indie label, The Velvet Farm, and has seen a constant increase in sales. He has developed a substantial and active fan base. 10,000 strong on Myspace. And just recently, out of thousands of song submissions, Josh's single Not Today was voted into the final 15 songs of the popular Next Big Hit competition.

So, what is progressive pop?

"Progressive Pop is made up of lyrics with substance and ahead-of-the-curve production concepts, while maintaining infectious radio hooks."

- Josh Ryan

Basically... Josh Ryan is a more grown up, male version of Avril Lavigne that connects with today's twenty-somethings.

Interesting, huh? Check him out for yourself.
