"Accidentally Engaged," A Quirky Comedy -- The Romantic Road Trip of the Psychic No One Saw Coming

She's found the one -- but he's already taken! Daily Horoscope for Pisces: Beware road-trips, handsome strangers, and mysterious, unidentified flying objects. An entertaining journey with unique and likeable characters entangled in an increasingly strange series of events.

Manhattan, NY (PRWeb) March 4, 2007 -- Mary Carter doesn't claim to have psychic powers. Just a knack for writing unique and likeable characters wrapped up in a tangle of sex and secrets, each revelation more whopping than the next. Carter follows her debut novel, "She'll Take It," with the romantic comedy, "Accidentally Engaged," from Kensington Books.

Thrice-divorced psychic, Clair Ivars, has a flair for reading Tarot cards, yet a total blind spot when it comes to predicting her own future -- (see previous three failed marriages). Perhaps it's in the stars for her to become entangled in a tricky romantic triangle, after a bride-to-be gets cold feet when Clair scares her off with her 10-card Celtic spread. The bride-to-be flees from the tent, leaving behind her three-carat diamond ring and the task of breaking it off with the fiancé. Which kind of explains why Clair finds herself accidentally engaged to vodka magnate Jake Heron after knowing him only for a few hours.

What it doesn't explain however, is an increasingly strange series of events, from the car that off-roads of its own accord, the appearance of Jack's fairy-tale castle hidden in the woods, the things that keep going bump in the night -- and Clair's potential mother-in-law, whose hiding one heck of a family secret.

And it definitely doesn't explain the peculiar way Clair keeps thinking about Jack's business partner -- the tall, dark, mysterious, and infuriatingly sexy Mike.

Brides past, present, and future, psychics, (and those that play them on t.v.), and anyone who has ever looked to the stars for a little help from fate, will relish this laugh-out-loud tale of a psychic looking for love.
