(PRWeb) March 13, 2007 -- US actor Leonardo DiCaprio arrived in Iceland on Friday along with photographers and staff of the glossy magazine Vanity Fair. The magazine is planning to photograph DiCaprio in the Icelandic landscape for a cover interview.

DiCaprio is staying at Reykjavik's 101 Hotel (www.101hotel.is), the celebrities' first choice for accommodation in downtown Reykjavik. The hotel recently hosted Jude Law when he spent a week long break in Iceland with his three children.

According to Fréttabladid the photo shoot will take place on Jökulsárslón and Snaefellsjökull glacier and that DiCaprio will probably spend most of his time in Iceland in the countryside. He is expected to stay in Iceland for a few days.

DiCaprio has been in the spotlight lately as he was nominated for Best Actor at the Oscars last month for his role in Blood Diamond and he also starred in The Departed, which won the award for Best Picture.
