Martin Dennis Named Meter Reader of the Year

Dennis was chosen from among Kissimmee Utility Authority's 20 full- and part-time meter readers for his meter reading volume and accuracy.

Kissimmee, FL (PRWeb) March 23, 2007 -- Kissimmee Utility Authority (KUA) on March 22 named Martin Dennis its 2006 meter reader of the year.

Dennis was chosen from among the utility's 20 full- and part-time meter readers for his meter reading volume and accuracy.

Dennis read 101,623 electric, water and irrigation meters in 2006 with just 28 errors -- a 99.972 percent accuracy rate.

Angel Quiles was recognized as runner-up for reading 96,399 meters while maintaining the same accuracy rate.

KUA's meter readers ended 2006 with 1.6 million total meter reads with an accuracy rate of 99.942 percent, or one error for every 1,738 meters read.
