Workshop Series for Prospective First Time Home Buyers

Helps buyers make an informed decision about purchasing thier first home and keeping it out of foreclosure.

St. Paul, Minn. (PRWeb) March 29, 2007 -- It is a home-buyers market, but fears of falling victim to predatory lending are at an all-time high. For help negotiating through the complicated home-buying process, Children's Home Society & Family Services (www.chsfs.org) is offering a Home Stretch Home Buyer workshop series to help propective home buyers determine if home ownership is right for them and to help them make an informed decision. This series of three evening sessions covers topics including:

Money management,

Financing a home,

Qualifying for a and selecting a mortgage,

Shopping for a home,

Closing process,

Preventing foreclosure and

Life as a homeowner.

The workshop series cost $20 and will take place on April 11, 18 and 25, 2007 from 6-9pm at Roseville City Hall at 2660 City Center Drive, Roseville, MN 55113. This workshop satisfies most mortgage lenders' education requirement for first time home buyers.
