High School Spring Golf Championship to be Held at Sea Trail Golf Resort & Convention Center

Sea Trail Golf Resort & Convention Center, located in Sunset Beach, N.C. will be one of the host sites for the 10th annual Palmetto High School Spring Golf Championship on April 5, 2007. Participants include 700 junior golfers and their coaches.

"This event provides high school golf teams of any ability from across the nation, public or private, a premier experience that goes beyond any high school golf match or tournament. This championship not only allows junior golfers to compete on a variety of quality golf courses, but it brings in additional revenue for area golf courses and hotels during a slow Easter weekend."

This year over 120 high schools from all across the United States as far as Tyler, Texas, Palm Desert, Calif. and Eugene, Ore. are registered to compete on some of Myrtle Beach's top courses.

The Palmetto High School Golf Championship features a spring and fall season event. The event's multi-day structure and format are identical to college level procedures. In addition, national media coverage and attendance by college coaches do take place.
