Renaissance Charleston Hotel Receives Four Marriott International Awards

The Renaissance Charleston Hotel Historic District was recently recognized at the Global Marriott International Meeting in San Francisco, CA. Among 900 Marriott and Renaissance brand hotels, the Charleston hotel received four awards, more than any other single Renaissance Hotel in the brand.

Charleston, S.C. (PRWeb) April 6, 2007 -- The Renaissance Charleston Hotel Historic District was recently recognized at the Global Marriott International Meeting in San Francisco, CA. Among 900 Marriott and Renaissance brand hotels, the Charleston hotel received four awards, more than any other single Renaissance Hotel in the brand.

The awards were given to leaders within Marriott who have exhibited outstanding results.

The Charleston, S.C. hotel's General Manager, Danni Williams received the Leadership Excellence Award and the Spirit to Serve within the Community Award. Williams has accomplished numerous leadership positions and has been active with the hotel's contributions to the community by helping raise money for the Children's Miracle Network, working with the Chamber of Commerce and helping women get to leadership positions within Marriott. Williams also serves as chair of the Charleston Marriott Business Council.

The downtown Charleston hotel's District Event Manager, Renee Baeza received the national award for the "2006 Event Leader of the Year" for the Renaissance Brand. Baeza carried out successful events at the hotel in 2006 such as leading the overall event satisfaction to exceed brand goals.
