Women Find Weight Loss Solution with Outdoor Fitness Boot Camp

The 6 week program has allowed women to lose weight and keep it off. The average weight loss is about 10-15 lbs. during the six-week program. Women in past boot camps have seen some great results.

New Haven, CT (PRWeb) April 7, 2007 -- Exercise is the necessary evil in the battle of the bulge, says Mubarakah Ibrahim owner of BALANCE fitness Studio for women. "Most people don't stick to an exercise regime long term simply because they get board". This 31-year-old entrepreneur has once again earned her reputation as an innovator in the fitness profession as she launches the annual New Haven Outdoor Fitness Boot Camp for Women. The 6 week program has allowed women to lose weight and keep it off. "Every year so many women tell me this was exactly what they needed to kick start their weight loss", says Mubarakah. "the average weight loss is about 10-15 lbs. during the six-week program. Women in past boot camps have seen some great results". The six-week program is described as an outdoor fitness program specifically designed to help women lose weight, gain muscle, and reduce body fat. Six weeks of fitness instruction, food modification, nutritional guidance, and motivational training provided by Certified Personal Trainers.

Kate Mcavoy boast a 14 lb. weight loss after her first boot camp and has been coming back every year since. It is the cure to the sweaty gym smell and the go no where treadmill workouts. "This boot camp is designed to add fun and variety to your mundane routine workout" says Mubarakah who is the creator of this innovative fitness program. "The camp is for both the beginner and veteran exerciser alike. There will be lots of motivation, camaraderie and sweat" say this In-Home personal trainer and camp lead instructor. She insists that nobody will be left behind or asked to complete more than they are capable of doing safely. Nor will anybody go home unchallenged. Women of all ages and abilities are welcome to participate. Each week we will slightly increase in intensity and change the type of exercises that are done. Exercises include: speed walking, yoga, pilates, short distance running (less than one mile), calisthenics, jumping rope, hiking, ball training, push-ups, and more!

Fitness Boot Camps are held at various parks and hiking trails throughout New Haven, Hamden and West Haven. Camps will meet for one hour three days a week for six consecutive weeks, 5:30am - 6:30 am sharp. The first of three summer camps will begin April 30, 2007. Each camp is limited to 20 women and is expected to fill quickly. Women Interested in participating can register at one of five locations throughout New Haven and Hamden.
