
Trade Ideas LLC launches a new web based decision support tool for Hedge Fund Managers. Aimed at hedge fund managers and active market participants this new tool provides streaming, customizable, real-time market analytics on a protected web site. (PRWEB) December 3, 2002 After leaving his position of president and chief executive officer of FutureTrade, a institutional direct access trading software provider, Mr. Mirkin and partner Philip Smolen founded Trade Ideas LLC. This new software is complementary to direct access trading and provides hedge fund traders important information on a customized portfolio of stocks or on the stocks included in specific indexes. The new firm has a number of hedge fund customers already as well as a consistent user base in Asia and Europe. The firm plans on growing from its 500 current users to hundreds of thousands. Trade Ideas offers alerts specific to the managerÂs trading strategy. A number of statistical alerts were designed for active traders, scalp traders, swing traders and position traders. For example, for position traders who focus on long/short equity holdings, traders can download their positions and set alerts to show various stock characteristics in the portfolio to help monitor and control risk. Statistical alerts such as new high asking price; new low bid; crossing above or below 200, 50, 20-day moving average price as well as many others are all available in a streaming point and click format via browser. Users can link the stock symbols that appear in alerts to the chart and stock data available on Yahoo!Finance. Trade Ideas is now working with prime brokers to link to their research data to the alerts program. Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, Pershing, Jefferies and Bank of America are some of the prime brokerage and clearing firms that Trade Ideas is talking to about integrating with their research data. Soft dollar brokers will be providing Trade Ideas as a research tool to their customers. The firm is also offering Trade Ideas software for private labeling for some of their customers to allow them to maintain and build their own brand. # # #
