Unable to find a job as an English teacher in Dallas, Debbie Preston moves to Perryville, Ohio, a small farm community about a half hour west of Columbus, Ohio, to teach her favorite subject at Madison High School. But as summer winds down and the new school year begins, four girls and three women have already died near the bluffs at the old community park. The latest victim is a biker chick/exotic dancer who was last seen making a drug deal at Rowdy Bob's, a local hangout for teens.

Debbie is already apprehensive enough about returning to a teaching career after a three-year absence. But that is the least of her troubles. After flunking a key member of the Fiends, a violent girl gang, she soon finds herself being stalked by not only the girl she flunked but Alice Holmes, a hulking teen who is both known and feared at Madison High for her brutality.

Debbie eventually gets a little too inquisitive about Alice and the Fiends and starts spying on her, interfering with Alice's plans and the turf war going on between the Fiends and the biker chicks from nearby Munroe. Women and girls are dying. But are they really suicides? The police seem to think so . . . but Debbie has her doubts about the latest rash of deaths.

Suttle grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and graduated from Oak Hills High School, before graduating from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He also has a Master of Business degree. Spending much of his career in marketing research, he has lived in Columbus, Atlanta, Lexington, Ky., Dayton and Dallas. "Suicide Peak" is his second novel. He also wrote the well-received humor novel "Hell Year" in 2003.
