2007 Costa Rica Classic Billfish Tournament Results

The Boomer Esiason Foundation hosted the Costa Rica Classic Billfish Tournament on March 23-24, 2007 at the Los Suenos Marina in Playa Heradurra, Costa Rica. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the cystic fibrosis community in Costa Rica.

New York, NY (PRWEB) April 30, 2007 -- The Boomer Esiason Foundation (BEF) welcomed a world-class group of more than 60 anglers to the 2007 Costa Rica Classic Billfish Tournament on March 23-24 at the Los Suenos Resort in Playa Herradura, Costa Rica. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Costa Rica Cystic Fibrosis Association.

First Place : El Jefe

Anglers: former Denver Bronco guard Mark Cooper, Rob Marchetti and Jeff Roberts

Hometown: Denver, Colo.

Fish: 23 sailfish, two marlin, and one dorado

Points: 2,800

Second Place : Scatterbrain

Anglers: William Banmeter, Timothy Gipe, Jason Grey, Carlos Hornbrook, William Johnson, and Dave Reed

Hometown: Miami Lakes, FL

Fish: 15 sailfish and one marlin

Points: 2,000

Third Place (tie): Desperado

Anglers: Matt Delvecchio, Rob Delvecchio, Ron Kilpatrick and Tim Templin

Fish: 14 sailfish and one dorado

Points: 1,400

Third Place (tie): Spanish Fly
