Collision Revision is the Proud Employer of an Illinois "Skills Challenge Champion"

On April 21st Matt competed in the SkillsUSA Challenge at the state level in Springfield, Illinois. Matt took first place honors in the collision repair program. The competition focused on many of the procedures that are done on a daily basis in the industry including: dent repair with filler, dent repair without filler, plastic repair, painting, welding, estimating, structural measurements on full frame and unibody vehicles.

For the past eighteen months, Matt has worked part-time while completing his classes in collision repair at Parkland College is Champaign/Urbana. In early February, 2007 he became a full time employee of Collision Revision.

On April 21st Matt competed in the SkillsUSA Challenge at the state level in Springfield, Illinois. Matt took first place honors in the collision repair program. Matt will be Illinois' representative at the national competition in Kansas City, Missouri, June 25 - 29 at the 43rd annual National Leadership and Skills Conference [NLSC.

The National SkillsUSA Championships is the showcase for the best career and technical students in the nation. This is a multi-million dollar event that occupies a space equivalent to twelve football fields. In 2006, there were over 4,800 contestants in 84 separate events. Nearly 1500 judges and contest organizers from labor and management make the national event possible.

The philosophy of the Championships is to reward students for excellence, to involve industry in directly evaluating student performance and to keep training relevant to employers' needs.
