International Academy of Design & Technology -- Toronto Sponsors Video Game Design Event 'TOJam' Game designers were invited to create a video game from start to finish for peer interaction, industry networking and audience screening. For the second consecutive year, IADT - Toronto sponsored the TOJam video game design event, created to give game designers time and resources to create a video game from start to finish. Designers gathered for three days and interacted with peers, industry professionals and enthusiasts while they created a fully interactive game. At the end of the event, all finished games were demoed in front of an audience on a wall-sized screen for all to see. All finished video games are hosted on the TOJam website, allowing the public the opportunity to download and play them.
Sponsoring events like TOJam allows IADT - Toronto to remain active and further explore new gaming developments. The gaming industry is a growing part of the entertainment market and the academy is growing with it. IADT - Toronto offers Video Game Design and Development program that explores the industry from multiple angles. Students experience hands-on curriculum and are encouraged to explore their creativity and to learn the specialized skills required of video game designers. IADT - Toronto supports events and competitions like TOJam to give students the opportunity to participate and gain knowledge, experience and motivation.
