NetBlender Announces BD-J Beta Program for DoStudio -- the First GUI Tool for HDi & BD-J NetBlender is accepting requests to join the beta group for the next release of DoStudio, which will include BD-J output for Blu-ray. Alexandria, VA (PRWEB) May 10, 2007 -- NetBlender today announced the launch of its beta program for the upcoming version of DoStudio that will feature BD-J output. DoStudio is the first GUI tool for creating advanced content for HD DVD and Blu-ray Disc. Interested developers can apply to join the beta group online at the DVD One Network website: (http://www.dvd1one.net).
DoStudio is designed to be neutral in the HD DVD - Blu-ray format war. The current version of DoStudio outputs HDi code for HD DVD. When BD-J output is released in the upcoming version, DoStudio will offer a single environment for designing advanced content for both next generation formats. What's more, current DoStudio projects will be compatible with the new release, so creating a BD-J version of a project will involve simply clicking the new blue compile button.
"BD-J is powerful but it requires a skilled Java programmer to implement even the simplest features," said John Harrington, NetBlender CEO. "Most DVD shops do not employ Java programmers. DoStudio's single environment that outputs to HDi for HD DVD and BD-J for Blu-ray puts the power of both formats in the reach of any authoring facility."
Featuring a graphical user interface that handles many development tasks visually, DoStudio frees the developer from hand-writing hundreds of lines of code. When the advanced content is ready for viewing, the DVD One compiler writes the final code in any next generation format. And DoStudio is built on a proven architecture that prevents memory leaks, unhandled exceptions and other software challenges while maximizing code compatibility across multiple generations of players. A DoStudio license costs $99/month.
