New York Literary Agent to Bring Novel Writing Secrets to the Midwest Writers will sharpen their pencils and get cracking on their "breakout" novel during a week-long workshop coming to Nashville this June. The workshop, June 25-July 1, will be conducted at Salt Creek Golf Retreat/Overlook Lodge. Nashville, IN (PRWEB) May 12, 2007 -- Writers will sharpen their pencils and get cracking on their "breakout" novel during a week-long workshop coming to Nashville this June. The workshop, June 25-July 1, will be conducted at Salt Creek Golf Retreat/Overlook Lodge.
Throughout the week, New York literary agent Donald Maass, author of Writing the Breakout Novel, will provide an insider's guide to aspiring novelists about how to create fiction that will stand out in the publishing world and take their writing careers to a whole new level. Students will also receive one-on-one consultations from Maass.
A team of published editors and writers will help students with their "novels-in-progress." Morning classes will focus on how to grab and hold readers' attention for the length of a novel and to create unforgettable characters, along with other trade secrets to getting published.
Carolyn Woolston, whose third book, CRUSADER'S LADY, came out March 2007, says, "The workshop week changed my entire writing life; it added depth to my plotting, focused attention on character-building, and reinforced my joy in being a writer and writing well."
Classroom seating will be strictly limited to thirty-five attendees to ensure individualized attention. The cost of the workshop is $1875 for new students, $1750 for returning students, and includes all lodging and meals. Visit the web site, www.free-expressions.com or call 866-497-4832 to register or obtain additional information.
Maass is one of New York's leading literary agents. The president of the Donald Maass Literary Agency represents more than 100 fiction writers and sells more than 100 novels per year to top publishers in the U.S. and overseas.
