Cincinnati, Ohio (PRWEB) May 16, 2007 -- Tristate residents are invited to share stories about their favorite Cincinnati places, people, and experiences on the big screen--the Fountain Square LED board--as part of a new community-wide video project called Cincinnati Stories.

Media Bridges is pleased to announce Cincinnati Stories, a new video broadcast partnership designed to collect, celebrate and share positive stories about Cincinnati told by Cincinnatians. Cincinnati Stories is the result of an innovative partnership of nonprofit and volunteer organizations including Media Bridges, Leadership Cincinnati, InkTank, and Fountain Square Management Group LLC. The project is made possible thanks to generous grant support from the Fine Arts Fund.

Cincinnati Stories was created to engage Tristate residents in sharing personal stories about why they love our city/region; to showcase these stories as local original programming content for public broadcast on the Fountain Square LED board (as well as online and other public broadcast outlets); and to inspire community dialogue about the many positive assets in our city/region.

"We are creating a community-wide video scrapbook of Cincinnati's favorite places, people, and experiences that are uniquely authentic to our city and region," said Tom Bishop, Executive Director of Media Bridges. "Cincinnatians are passionate about the many positive assets in our city and we wanted to create a program to document these positive stories and create a public forum to share and celebrate our own good news."

Two Ways Cincinnatians Can Participate in Cincinnati Stories

1. Submit Home Video

Tristate residents are invited to record and submit their own home video for broadcast consideration on the Fountain Square LED board as part of Cincinnati Stories programming. Participants can view submission instructions and download a Cincinnati Stories video submission application online at www.CincinnatiStories.org. Amateur and professional submissions are encouraged and will be accepted.

Suggested categories for Cincinnati Stories video submissions include:

· Cincinnati Places (tours/highlights of favorite neighborhoods, parks, schools, etc.)

· Cincinnati Experiences (favorite arts, cultural, sports, entertainment, festivals, etc.)

· Cincinnati Traditions (unique local traditions, celebrations with family, friends)

Video length can be a minimum of 30 seconds to a maximum of three minutes.

DVD and VHS formats will be accepted per submission instructions available on http://www.CincinnatiStories.org

2. Visit the Cincinnati Stories Video Booth

Tristate residents may visit the new Cincinnati Stories Video Booth to record their favorite local stories. Funded through special grant support from the Fine Arts Fund, the Cincinnati Stories Video Booth will make stops at major community events, schools and public venues -- check http://www.CincinnatiStories.org for a current booth schedule or to request a scheduled stop at your neighborhood event/venue. Participants will have up to three minutes per booth session to record their favorite Cincinnati stories.

The first scheduled stop of the Cincinnati Stories Video Booth was March 17, 2007 at the Cincinnati St. Patrick's Day Parade at Fountain Square, downtown.

Cincinnati Stories videos from both home/professional submissions and the video booth may be edited for time by Media Bridges and will be broadcast regularly on the Fountain Square LED Board beginning in June 2007. Home videos should be submitted by May 31, 2007 in order to be considered for the first phase of summer broadcasts. Following the premiere in June, new videos will debut on the Fountain Square LED board on the first Wednesday and Saturday of each month and reruns will be featured daily.
