PETCO Unleashed Searches for Final Fab Five Weekend Winners to Compete for America's Fastest Chihuahua Title. (Vocus) May 16, 2007 -- After rounding up finalists in Boston, New York, Miami, Chicago, Dallas, Phoenix, Los Angeles, Orange County, Calif., Sacramento and San Francisco, PETCO is searching for five more fast and furious racers to compete for the title of America's Fastest Chihuahua. Regional race offs will continue this weekend in the Baltimore-Washington Metropolitan Area, Houston, Denver, Seattle and San Diego. Accompanied by their human companions, these tiny competitors will race in heats of 10 along a 1/18th furlong (35-foot-long) track. The winner from each regional race will be awarded a trip to San Diego to compete in the national finals in front of cheering crowds between innings of a major league baseball game at PETCO Park (http://sandiego.padres.mlb.com/sd/ballpark/index.jsp), home to the San Diego Padres, on Sept. 2, 2007.
