DVmatic DVD Rental Kiosks Become a Part of Gulf Coast Revival

Gulf Coast DVD Machines, out of Gulfport MS, has installed several DVmatic automated DVD rental machines provided by ELO Media.

Gulfport, MS (PRWEB) June 5, 2007 -- Gulf Coast DVDs, owned by Michael Smith, an entrepreneur with an eye for business opportunities, has implemented several of ELO's DVD rental machines in Gulfport. Smith says, "The idea came to me a while back. Shortly after Hurricane Katrina's devastating impact on the area I understood that there would be a need for affordable entertainment, and since there is only a hand full of video stores in the area, some destroyed in the hurricane, I realized the opportunity exists."

Smith, who is retired from the Navy, attended a franchise seminar where he came across the concept of automated DVD rental machines that fit perfectly with his plan of providing easily accessible and affordable entertainment. After researching the different DVD rental kiosks in the market, he decided to implement ELO Media's DVmatic machines. "I conducted a comprehensive research of the different providers and concluded that the DVmatic machines are the best for the price and that ELO would provide me with the necessary software and right tools to be successful in the business," Smith says. After meeting with SCORE -- "Counselors to America's Small Business" -- and obtaining the financing necessary, Smith purchased and placed his three kiosks in Gulfport in April 2007.

Rentals are $1.59 per day which is much lower than the $4.50 per night rental price that is charged at the local video stores in the area. Smith comments, "Things are going well and I have good indication of the success to come. We have some marketing campaigns on the way and we are contemplating issuing membership cards for potential customers that do not have debit or credit cards."
