International conglomerate turns to Adaptive Business Intelligence

Adelaide, South Australia (PRWEB) June 7, 2007 -- SolveIT Software Pty Ltd, a leading provider of software solutions for planning & scheduling optimisation and predictive modelling, announced today that it has signed a contract with Pernod Ricard Pacific for the delivery of a Tank Management System that will optimise the allocation and utilisation of tanks.

Orlando Wines (a division of Pernod Ricard Pacific) manages more than 1000 tanks of differing capacities at the Rowland Flat production site and makes daily decisions on the storage of juices and wines in these tanks. Under the terms of the agreement, SolveIT Software will use its proprietary optimisation platform to develop a Tank Management System for Orlando Wines. The system will use projected grape intake and wine production to minimise the number and distance of transfers between tanks, as well as the number of litres being transferred. Based on the principles of Adaptive Business Intelligence, the Tank Management System will adapt the optimal solution based on actual grape intake and wine production.
