David Mosby, The State of Missouri's Director of Facilities Management Design and Construction, won the Vision Award for "demonstrating his vision of whole building integration and interoperability through advocacy, promotion, education and training endeavors." Mosby's vision defined the need for an integrated, real-time, Web-based system for tracking and optimizing extensive space inventory usage and billing, work order management, and energy savings initiatives. Through the Gridlogix related State of Missouri Project, Mosby is delivering real examples of how to leverage interoperability to reduce facility "first cost" and "life cycle cost." Other Nominees included Engenuity Systems, myfacility, Zigbee Alliance, and Cisco.

Gridlogix Partner Pacific Controls, a leading system integrator in the Middle East was awarded the Buildy for "Best Intelligent Building." The award recognizes Pacific Controls new Corporate Headquarters, located in Dubai, which is the 16th LEED platinum building in the world and the first in the Middle East. Pacific Controls was recognized for "the most progressive building technology supporting the vision of whole building integration."

Toby Considine of University North Carolina was honored with an award from the GridWise Architecture Council for advancing interoperability between intelligent systems. Considine is the lead architect for the Gridlogix/Cyrus Technologies integration project at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Considine conceived and architected a solution allowing for a single integrated picture of 144 buildings across the UNC campus. Considine's leadership in standards, projects like UNC, publications, etc are helping others finally see the practical application of interoperability to reduce energy, maintenance, and other costs.
