HBO Pins Post-Soprano Hopes On New Series, 'John From Cincinnati'; Set To Premier June 10th

Viewers invited to chronicle plotlines, character developments and more at 'John From Cincinnati' Wiki (http://jfc.wikia.com)

San Mateo, Calif. (PRWEB) June 8, 2007 -- With the premiere episode of the new HBO series "John From Cincinnati" set to air this Sunday, June 10th, immediately following the Sopranos series finale, fans are invited to 'John From Cincinnati' Wiki (http://jfc.wikia.com) where they can chronicle the series from the very beginning, exploring plotlines and character developments.

The wiki format allows anyone to add information and edit pages, giving 'John From Cincinnati' fans the chance to create a complete guide to the show. The word "wiki" comes from a Hawaiian word for "fast" - and wikis are a powerful way to assemble a lot of information, very quickly. Working together as a group, contributors can pull together everything there is to know about 'John From Cincinnati,' while building a community of fans at the same time.

The series stars Austin Nichols, who plays the mysterious John Monad--a young man who travels to Imperial Beach, California to take lessons from a surfing legend, Mitch Yost (played by Bruce Greenwood).

The story focuses on the Yost family -- including Mitch, his angry wife Cissy (Rebecca De Mornay), their drug-addicted, ex-champ son Butchie (Brian Van Holt) and Butchie's teenage son, surfer prodigy Shaun (Greyson Fletcher). Ed O'Neill plays Mitch's best friend, Bill, and Matt Winston plays Barry Cunningham, who returns to Imperial Beach after 23 years to seek his revenge on the Yosts.

The show is a collaborative effort of Deadwood creator David Milch and Kem Nunn, a novelist whose "surf noir" novels include Tapping the Source and Tijuana Straits.
