Free WorldEvents Moves Out of Beta into Full Production

New service brokers no-admission-charge business, cultural, educational, political and sports events around the globe and on the WorldWideWeb.

Palo Alto, CA (PRWEB) June 11, 2007 -- Chalk Institute today announced the completion of Beta Trial and Production Release of the Free WorldEvents brokering service. Now organizations throughout the world can post no-admission-charge events in a few minutes and for no cost. The events are published on the Free WorldEvents web site in four geographies: Africa/Europe/MiddleEast, Americas, Asia/Pacific and the WorldWideWeb. Jacky Hood, Chancellor of Chalk Institute, said, "Now organizations that provide business, cultural, educational, political, and sports events at no cost to the general public incur no cost to publicize these events throughout the world."

The highly successful Beta trial featured event postings ranging from a Lunch & Learn Webinar to a Volkswagen Beetle Marathon in South Africa and a free day at the Tokyo National Museum. Events posted during the Beta trial that have not yet occurred are available on the website. Production events listed since the launch include a political convention in Alabama, a concert on the Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro Brazil, a supply chain webinar broadcast from Singapore and a presentation on Post-Disruption Marketing in Silicon Valley.

Comments from enthusiastic Beta testers included: "Interesting site, and a good idea -- kind of a Facebook for events!" from a Beta user in Vienna, Austria. "That's quite an undertaking" said an Ottawa, Canada Beta user.

A Beta user in Mountain View, California, wrote, "Would be great if you had an API or post-by-email, otherwise its just one more form to fill out." Upon hearing that feature is available, he wrote "That's cool. When I add the next event (our September meeting) it should come automatically."

An email from a Beta user in the UK reads: "I'm really happy to contribute because I find it quite inspiring -- it's amazing how (it) can have a big effect!" A Zurich, Switzerland Beta user wrote that she would alert the marketing team.

The service accepts event postings in English, French, German and Spanish. Events must be open to the general public and be free of fees or suggested donations. Posting can be done on the web site or by email.
