Raleigh-Based Start-up, PrepChamps, Demonstrates Explosive Speed and Agility in Breakout Year High school sports video and recruiting website designed to recognize high school athletes gets recognition of its own. The Council for Entrepreneurial Development (CED), a private, nonprofit organization that identifies, enables and promotes high growth, high impact entrepreneurial companies throughout the Research Triangle and North Carolina, presented the "FastTrac Tech Company of the Year" award to PrepChamps.
"FastTrac Tech is an entrepreneurial training program that addresses the needs of start-up entrepreneurs practicing and refining their business pitches and seeking to grow high-tech, life science, or other high-growth companies," explained Dhruv Patel, program manager for capital and technology development at CED.
"When presenting a business with the FastTrac Tech Company of the Year award, we look for the organization that benefits the most from the course and is able to most effectively apply the curriculum to their business in order to take it to the next level," Patel said. "Of the more than 80 companies who completed the program in 2006, PrepChamps has shown the most progress."
