(PRWEB) July 5, 2007 -- Suncombe Ltd - the UK's premier Cleaning In Place and process engineers for nearly 50 years - introduce the ATEXCIP™ hazardous area CIP system, an innovative new, high quality, cGMP mobile CIP System, specifically developed for use in hazardous areas. Designed for aqueous, detergent or solvent cleaning, the ATEXCIP™ offers a versatile solution to the cleaning of vessels, reactors, fillers, pipelines and many other hazardous area cleaning requirements.

Designed and manufactured in the UK at one of Suncombe's manufacturing plants, the ATEXCIP™ Systems are used primarily in the BioPharma sectors, but can also be used in any sector requiring CIP in ATEX controlled areas.

Available with a 200 litre storage vessel, this vessel can be filled with water or can automatically decant from a solvent drum, and is used to deliver CIP solution and can also be setup to recirculate the solutions and for recovery. Atmospheric or pressurised vessel options with sight glasses are available with the facilities to incorporate inert gas blankets for solvent use.

With flowrates up to 100 litres per minute and pressures up to 4 bar, the system can operate at ambient temperature or can be heated.

Full certified to ATEX legislation, the systems are also available to cGMP, ASME BPE and GAMP standards and come complete with a full validation package including DQ, FDS, FAT and SAT protocols.

Steve Overton, the Technical Director at Suncombe comments: "Having supplied many hazardous area CIP Systems over the past 45 years, the ATEXCIP™ has been developed to offer all of the facilities for hazardous area CIP in a standard package. The standard package, simplifies design qualification, HAZOPs and validation, and ensures that the units are economically priced, whilst ensuring they comply with all legislative and safety standards."

Sized 1200mm x 1200mm in plan, the ATEXCIP™ is fitted with castors and also designed to be lifted with a pallet truck/forklift. Manufactured from certified 316 Stainless Steels and FDA compliant elastomers, they are suitable for using most solvents in use today.

Available in standard and bespoke versions, the ATEXCIP™ is an efficient, safe system to carry out CIP in hazardous areas.
