The World's First Vertically-mounted Dual 19-inch Flat Panel and Keyboard KVM Neuro Logic Systems, Inc., manufacturer of ruggedized flat panel display products announces the world's first vertical "over-under" Dual 19-inch Flat Panel display and keyboard drawer (KVM) unit that mounts into a 2U (3.50") space. Camarillo, California (PRWEB) July 9, 2007 -- Neuro Logic Systems, Inc. began shipping the world's first dual display (KVM) unit featuring two LCDs oriented in a vertical, over-under configuration when deployed. The RFT2-19-L2 was originally designed for piloting Unmanned Arial Vehicles (UAVs) and features a sealed, backlit, full-travel keyboard and sealed 38mm 3-button trackball for use in harsh battlefield environments. When closed, the lightweight, aluminum alloy RFT2-19-L2 stows into a single, 24" deep 2U space in a transport case or standard RETMA equipment rack.
The two high quality, wide view angle 19-inch LCDs are protected by strengthened, anti-reflective glass filters. In contrast to the existing side-by-side 2 LCD configurations offered by other vendors, the vertical over-under arrangement in the RFT2-19-L2 minimizes interference with surrounding equipment and provides a better ergonomic solution for viewing 2 LCDs at one time which is especially important in lengthly UAV and other flight operations.
The RFT2-19-L2 also comes equipped with a backlit, sealed, full-travel keyboard and large 3-button trackball, and because it was designed for military use, it features thumbscrews for locking the unit into a rack and a locking mechanism to prevent accidental closure of the displays while being subjected to vibration in an open position. Video connections are HD-15 and keyboard connections are PS/2 while options exist for DVI, NTSC and RS-170 video and keyboard options for USB.
The RFT2-19-L2 provides a cost-effective, practical solution for applications requiring two LCD displays in in a single transit case or enclosure. Compared to a configuration using two separate displays, deployment time and support maintenance costs are greatly reduced for the integrated RFT2-19-L2.
