The Department of Homeland Security released the National Incident Management System (NIMS) as required by Homeland Security Presidential Directive (HSPD) -Management of Domestic Incidents and HSPD-8 Preparedness. The deadline for NIMS compliances for all agencies wanting to receive any Federal funding is September 30th, 2007.
