Infomercial Ratings.com and Infomercial Scams.com Sued by Makers of 4X Made Easy and Wizetrade Infomercial Ratings.com and Infomercial Scams.com have been sued by a company that sells stock trading software via infomercials. Carson City, NV (PRWEB) July 23, 2007 The popular consumer review website, Infomercial Ratings.com, has been sued by the Dynatech Corporation, the company behind 4X Made Easy and Wizetrade stock trading software. 4X Made Easy and Wizetrade are sold mainly through infomercials. The complaint (No. 6:07-cv-00114-JA-DAB) filed in Middle District Court of Florida alleges Infomercial Ratings.com and Infomercial Scams.com infringed upon their trademark names. According to Dynatech attorney Myra P. Nicholson, the defendants have committed trademark infringement by creating in the mind of the consumer that there is an association between themselves and the software programs. The websites Infomercial Ratings.com and Infomercial Scams.com allow consumers who have used "As Seen On TV" gadgets to write reviews as to the efficacy of the claims presented in the infomercials. The company itself does not comment on any of the products. Owner Justin Leonard says, "Dynatech is obviously not thrilled with the unfavorable reviews of their products. This lawsuit has no merit, and it threatens to deprive consumers of impartial reviews online." About Justin Leonard
Leonard is represented by Public Citizen, a Washington D.C. consumer advocacy group. # # #
