NIH Grant Funds Installation of Clinical Quality Management System in Michigan Health Clinics Cielo MedSolutions donates clinical quality management software system to Care Free Medical & Dental clinics in Lansing and Mason Michigan. Clinics will use the software in the free clinics for quality improvement and to track depression in patients with coronary heart disease. Ann Arbor, MI - July 25, 2007 - Healthcare information technology (IT) company (http://www.cielomedsolutions.com) Cielo MedSolutions announces its clinical quality management system, Cielo Clinic™, will be installed in Care Free Medical & Dental's Lansing and Mason clinics.
Care Free Medical & Dental will use the Cielo Clinic system for quality improvement via clinical reminders the system provides. The clinics will also use the medical software system (http://www.cielomedsolutions.com/products.htm) for an observational study of depression symptoms in patients with coronary heart disease.
Cielo MedSolutions will donate the Cielo Clinic software system to Care Free Medical. A National Institutes of Health (NIH) Roadmap grant will cover installation and training costs of the Cielo Clinic system under the "Re-engineering the Clinical Research Enterprise" initiative. The NIH awarded the grant to a collaborative effort between the University of Michigan's Center for the Advancement of Clinical Research (CACR) and GRIN - the Great Lakes Research Into Practice Network.

Care Free Medical & Dental is a not for profit family health clinic established to ensure access to affordable health care for the residents of Ingham County. The clinic cares for people who do not have any health insurance or other resources to provide healthcare benefits.
