Unlike many Japanese steakhouses, Kobe One's Hibachi technique emphasizes fully cooking the meal while infusing unique blends of sauces that enhance the natural flavor of the selected food. Head chef, Hiro, learned this technique during his 10 years at the popular Kobe Steakhouse in Orlando, FL. "We noticed that most steakhouses in Atlanta serve 'wet' hibachi, not truly fried," states Hiro, "This leaves the Hibachi half-cooked and not as flavorful."

To ensure consistency in technique and taste, all Kobe One chefs, despite previous experience, must complete a training program designed and led by Head Chef, Hiro. "Our program teaches our unique style of cooking Hibachi. We give homage to Japanese heritage but really emphasize our process of adding intense flavor," explains Tom Hoang, the manager of the restaurant.

Kobe One's sauces are original blends created by Hiro. They are not authentic Japanese sauces but rather blends designed to appeal to American palettes. Kobe One has a specific blend for chicken, beef and seafood, each crafted to capture and magnify the natural flavor of the meal.

Playing relaxing Asian jazz, offering a sushi bar and an inviting environment, Kobe One is a favorite lunch spot for local business diners. With 10 Hibachi tables and a service oriented atmosphere, it is also frequently used by large groups.

"Our focus is on good staff, good service and good food," says Tom Hoang. "We are also expanding our offering of Asian cuisine and plan to introduce Vietnamese dishes in August."
