Sunrise, FL (PRWEB) July 26, 2007 -- Learn.com®, the leader in on-demand workforce development and productivity, announced today that Linksys, a division of Cisco Systems, Inc., headquartered in Irvine, California, was the subject of a recent case study titled Global Customer Support Training, Linksys Streamlines Agent Training to Improve Customer Service. This case study will be featured in the July issue of ASTD's T&D Magazine.
According to the study, Linksys utilizes the LearnCenter platform to develop an online training and product-purchase authorization program for value -added resellers (VARs); extend its training infrastructure to customer support agents in technical assistance centers worldwide; develop e-learning modules to change agent behavior; and measure the impact of customer support agent training programs. As a result, Linksys increased customer satisfaction, reduced customer support costs and increased the percentages of problems solved. The Linksys training department took less than nine months to build out the Agent e-Learning program, including development of course modules and the website portal.
"The testing component of e-learning allows us to exert more control over the operations of our technical assistance centers -- how agents are trained, and their levels of process adherence and quality. We used the LearnCenter platform to drive content to the agent level, which had never been done before," said the Director of Worldwide Training and Development, Linksys.
