Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) August 9, 2007 -- Award-winning director Shawna Baca screens her latest 35mm short film Tomoko's Kitchen at this year's annual HollyShorts film festival in Los Angeles, CA. Tomoko's Kitchen, a dramedy starring Cassandra Peterson (Elvira), David Lander (Laverne & Shirley), and newcomer Tomo Kawaguchi, is about the daily hustle and bustle of life screeching to a halt when an apartment building's security doors malfunction and a group of disparate residents discover how oven-fresh cinnamon rolls can change destinies.
Tomoko's Kitchen premiered at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival-Short Film Corner and won the Audience Choice Award from the 2007 Emerging Filmmakers Short Film Festival.
HollyShorts Film Festival will be held at the Cinespace Digital Superclub and will be hosted by LATV network VJ Viviana Vigil. Screenings begin at noon and there will be an After Party from 8pm-12am hosted by renowned hip hop DJ Biz Markie.
