Rushcon 7 'Feel the Current Flowing' Seventh Annual Rush Fan Convention Returns to Toronto September 21-23, 2007

With the band in the middle of a wildly successful North American tour, Rush fans now have another reason to celebrate as they gather from all over the world this September in beautiful, downtown Toronto for RushCon 7. This annual convention--- the biggest Rush Fan Gathering on the planet---returns to fabulous downtown Toronto September 21-23.

Toronto, Ontario (PRWEB) August 9, 2007 -- This coming September, the city of Toronto will be teaming with multitudes of Rush fans eager to see them on their current tour and attend the annual RushCon Fan Convention.

With Rush's highly acclaimed recent release, "Snakes and Arrows," making an impressive showing on the Billboard charts debuting in the # 3 spot, fans are flocking to concerts across North America. This is Rush's highest chart debut since 1993, and the group's eleventh top-ten album in the U.S. In support of "Snakes and Arrows" the band will conclude its North American tour in Toronto on Saturday September 22nd.

It couldn't be more perfect for Rush Fans everywhere as they can make a full weekend out of it by attending both the RushCon fan convention as well as see Rush's final North American show, live on Saturday night.

This years' RushCon Fan convention includes a variety of events and entertainment options offered throughout the weekend, beginning with an exclusive "In the Mood" Mixer and Rush Tribute Band Concert to be held on Friday September 21 at the historic Opera House.

What better way to welcome traveling fans and set the tone for the weekend? This year's tribute band is none other than New York's own Limlight- a well seasoned tribute band who previously headlined at RushCon 4 and plays extensively throughout the New York area. Once again, this remarkable band will be treating the audience to painstakingly accurate and energetic renditions of Rush's most classic tunes.

Saturday, September 22 begins with the main fan convention held at the Days Inn Conference Center in Downtown Toronto. Activities to include shopping rare and collectible merchandise vendors as well as hosts a variety of contests, games, and fan participation events. This is the place to show your skills, win fabulous prizes and meet fellow fans from around the world and get pumped up for the show.

That night, fans will be transported to the Air Canada Centre to enjoy Rush in concert for its final show on the North American tour. (Note: Tickets to the concert are not included with RushCon admission.)

Sunday, September 23rd activities will include the annual Rush memorabilia charity auction, where rare and autographed items are sold to the highest bidder and 100% of the proceeds benefit the Toronto Daily Bread Food Bank. Items will include many rare and autographed items spanning their three -decade long career. Over the years, this successful auction has raised over $40,000 for the Daily Bread Food Bank of Toronto.

Admission for all events (Mixer/Tribute Band Concert, Convention and Auction) is $65 CND available via online store at www.rushcon.org or at the door the day of. (Tribute Concert only, $10 CND at the door.)

Tickets to the Rush concert itself are not included in this package.

RushCon is hosted by Force 10 Enterprises, a non-profit organization formed entirely by Rush fans for Rush fans.
