New Product and Services Director Boosts Customer Support Drive at Lakeview

Anniversary of MBO sees new impetus on after-sales care, a website upgrade incorporates "customer forum' and the company introduces a new branding initiative.

Bexleyheath, Kent (PRWEB) August 12, 2007 -- Building on its current customer development strategy, business software systems specialist, Lakeview Computers Ltd (Lakeview) has appointed enterprise resource planning (ERP) specialist, Mark Greatrex to the new position of product and services director.

Greatrex brings with him extensive consultancy and supply-side ERP experience. Prior to working with major US vendors QAD and Lawson, where he was professional services director, NW Europe, he spent ten years with UK developer, JBA Holdings. His early career also included spells in an ERP end-user environment with Lucas Group and international engineering giant, Sandvik AB.

In his new role, Greatrex will be responsible for the future direction of Lakeview's product set, as well as expanding the company's after-sales care offering, including customer support, training, proactive consultancy and project management. "My goal is to build on a great deal of good business practice already established at Lakeview," he says.

"In maintaining a strong technology offering, we will continue to invest well above the industry average in research and development," he confirms. "Equally importantly, however, in an ERP market characterised by service levels which are adequate at best, the roll-out of new customer service initiatives over the next 18 months will deliver unmatched support quality to our SME customer base.

"In delivering real added value to their businesses, as a result, customers will achieve an even greater return on their Lakeview investment."

New branding, new website

Following an intensive customer-focused programme, which included market research, user groups and customer briefings, Lakeview's new branding highlights this more service-oriented approach. "We have always been recognised for our strong service focus," confirms managing director, Graham Marcroft. "Our new strapline, 'unlocking business potential', is designed to extend this, by reflecting a more personalised and results-oriented solutions delivery."

Similarly, the new website is much easier to use, enabling access by job title or vertical market. In response to customer demand, our Customer Intranet also incorporates a 'Customer Forum', moderated by Lakeview and enabling customers to share 'tips and tricks' in getting the most from their Lakeview solution.

"In taking this forward, Mark's appointment reflects the growing maturity of the Lakeview business post-MBO," concludes Marcroft. "With more than 20 years' product and services experience, he will bring fresh impetus and ideas in spearheading our ambitious service-driven development strategy."
