Magician JeffMcBride's Magic Reaches Out to Community

McBride performs for free for the Boys and Girls Club of Atlantic City.

(PRWEB) August 16, 2007 -- Jeff McBride, currently starring in "Magic at the Edge" at the Trump Marina Hotel & Casino, is offering his show "to go" with a free performance this week at the Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City this Friday, 8/17/06 @ 12:30pm. McBride recently did the same for the Jewish Community Center's summer camp program in Margate on August 7th. The Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City is located at 317 N. Pennsylvania Avenue in Atlantic City.

"Wherever I perform I always try to provide some free performances for the local community. I particularly enjoy entertaining young audiences. The idea is to entertain them through magic, but use the medium to touch on some of life's important lessons. My goal is to reach out and do what we can to nurture these audiences," says McBride. "I remember seeing my first professional magic show at about the age of 10, and it changed my life. Now as a performer and teacher of magic, I feel obligated to pass on the favor."

McBride is the founder of the McBride Magic & Mystery School, which last week was visited by a dozen magicians from all over the world for a Master Class conducted in the showroom where McBride's show is seen each evening. The "Show to Go" this week is an extension of the Magic School efforts, done not just to entertain young people at each venue, but also to teach them a bit about the art of magic and hopefully inspire them to pursue their dreams.

"At every show, I teach a little bit of magic. Whether I'm doing an outreach event or the larger show onstage at the casino, I like people to leave feeling more empowered as a result of seeing my performances," says McBride.

"McBride - Magic at the Edge" is in the Shell at Trump Marina through September 2, 2007. Show times are 8:00pm on Thurs. & Fri., 7:00pm & 9:30pm on Sat., and 7:00pm on Sun. Doors open one hour prior to each show. There will not be a show on Fri., August 24th. Ticket price is $25 plus tax.
