Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) September 11, 2007 -- Zep Tepi Entertainment has begun production on the feature film "Green Flash", a sports-action drama set deep inside the world of pro beach volleyball. The film is shooting throughout Los Angeles and in Manhattan Beach, the home of beach volleyball.

"Green Flash" stars "Baywatch" hunk and world-recognized recording artist David Charvet who returns to the screen to reclaim his "king of the beach" status. Co-stars are Torrey DeVitto ("One Tree Hill", "Beautiful People"), Kristin Cavallari ("Laguna Beach"), Brody Hutzler ("Days of Our Lives", "Legally Blonde"), and Jaleel White ("Dreamgirls", "Family Matters").

Supporting roles are played by Jason Olive ("The Comeback"), Bret Roberts ("Dirt", "Chasing Papi"), Court Young, Jason Ring, and Olympic gold medalists Eric Fonoimoana and Dain Blanton.

Appearing in cameo roles are AVP beach champions Mike Lambert, Albert Hannemann, Eric Fonoimoana, Stein Metzger, Jeff Nygaard, Misty May-Treanor, Phil Dalhausser, Todd Rogers and volleyball's legendary coach Al Scates.

Other featured roles include NBA All-Star and Fox Sports commentator Marques Johnson, Cedric Pendleton ("House of Payne"), Bree Turner ("Firehouse Dog", "Just My Luck"), Wilson Cruz ("Noah's Ark", "My So Called Life") and Christine Adams ("Studio 60", "Batman Begins").

Making his directorial debut is writer/producer Paul Nihipali Jr., a two-time NCAA Champion and three-time All-American for the UCLA's men's volleyball team in the mid-90's and a former member of the U.S. National Volleyball Team. "I'm excited to share the true insides of a sport and a subculture I know so well," says Nihipali. "Like Hollywood in "Entourage", the South Bay beaches serve as a character to a community you just can't help but want to watch."

Executive Producer is Bob Smiland. Producers are Joseph Barmettler (TNT's "L.A. Heat" and "Alien Secrets") and television producer Cameron Dieterich.
