KidsHealth.Org and Sesame Workshop Partner to Bring Healthy Habits to Preschool Practical, easy-to-use resources for child care providers promoting good nutrition and physical activity. Wilmington, DE (Vocus) September 10, 2007 -- Much is written about childhood obesity and the importance of helping children develop healthy habits at a young age. Sesame Workshop (www.sesameworkshop.org) (the nonprofit educational organization behind Sesame Street), Nemours Health and Prevention Services (http://www.nemours.org/department/business/nhps.html) (NHPS, a nonprofit organization devoted to helping kids grow up healthy), and KidsHealth.org (www.KidsHealth.org) (a leading brand in children's health and development) have initiated a new and exciting partnership to address the critical issue of childhood obesity by developing Healthy Habits for Life Child Care Resource Kit. The kit is part of Sesame Workshop's Healthy Habits for Life Initiative and will support a variety of child care programs in helping young children establish a foundation of healthy habits during the early years. These bilingual resources can be easily integrated into the everyday moments of child care programs and establish an appealing and fun connection between home and school.
